How is being racist, homophobic, and misogynistic being “gracious”?

You cannot make a blanket statement and apply it to all universities. I have spent decades working at universities. They varied wildly in their ideology. The most liberal university I worked at was the most accepting of diverse people and opinions. The conservative one very much othered anyone who wasn’t in lockstep with their narrow beliefs.

What Charlie Kirk was doing was not a true debate. He rarely had facts to back up his opinions. His “debates” were simply a gimmicky way to push an agenda that made him millions.

I suspected this. It doesn’t surprise me at all that it was fake. Probably the only Mormon celebrity they could think of. 🙄

Patel bragged that they caught the shooter quickly. What a joke. They “caught” two wrong people, then the dad turned him in.

Kirk was a multi-millionaire, and a GoFundMe has been established. The family is not lacking for money. If this report is true, why this family, and not a family who is struggling financially? Were they friends?

Both of those, but - at least at the time I looked - it seemed to lean more towards we’re not Christians. Which always makes me roll my eyes. I mean the name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Kirk had actually praised Mormons earlier in his appearance.

The Mormon bashing has already begun online. Posters are claiming he’s Mormon, and attacking the Church.

An ambulance would not have helped. I saw close up footage. He was dead within seconds. He lost liters of blood within seconds. There was no coming back from the type of injury he had.

I’m so sad to hear this. I had always hoped to get to the coast to meet her, but my own health issues prevented that. May her memory be for a blessing.
