Anakin7 Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 (edited) While going undercover as a Born Again spirit filled Christian in the Reformed tradition I was at a local Calvery Chapel bookstore and I found a new book by Shawn McCraney entitled : "Where Mormonism Meets Biblical Christianity Face to Face". Alathea Press 635 pages $24,99Quoting past LDS Apostle Anthoy H. Lund from LDS Conference Report April 1905 page 14 -" Why should those who are not of our faith be so opposed to us ?, They say we have a false doctrine. But is it false ?.Have they proved it to be so ?. We invite a comparison of the principles we believe in which those taught by Jesus Christ and his disciples. Has anyone seen or read this work ?.In His Debt/GraceAnakin7LDS JEDI KNIGHT Edited June 4, 2012 by Anakin7

Stargazer Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 He needs to shave his chest before I take him seriously.I didn't see much evidence of chest hair in the video I found of him on YouTube. But, having never before heard of this guy, he is a real piece of work I find, after a quick Bing search. Yech. His book isn't credible, and that is something I can easily decide upon, sight unseen.

Libs Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 (edited) "Mormons are like people who rape, steal, murder and then claim they are my brother"..?? Wow...really???? I've listened to quite a lot of Shawn McCraney. I would not ever pay good money for one of his books. As for going after LDS just because they call themselves Christians (which they have a perfect "right" to do, whether he believes so or not) I thought the main reason Christians "went after" Mormons was to try and save their souls from hell? That's what they always say....and if that's true, then they should be "going after" Muslims and Hindus and Buddhists with just as much zeal, yes? Edited June 4, 2012 by Libs
altersteve Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 "Mormons are like people who rape, steal, murder and then claim they are my brother"..??This is why I have absolutely no respect for him whatsoever.

There are better works critical of LDS theology out there.
