My traditional MTC experience was one of the most difficult parts of my mission and I would not have minded a hybrid MTC experience. Maybe the Language Training Mission at BYU (this was back before MTC, like 1970s) was better than the MTC, but I loved the LTM. It was a highlight of my mission. But perhaps I do better at regimentation than others -- evidenced by the fact that I greatly enjoyed US Army Basic Combat Training and the subsequent Advanced Infantry Training. Hard physically and mentally, but I loved it. 1
