When I was in college, I drove a cab in the Santa Monica area and used to be a delivery boy for George Carlin, and others. The stars would call a cab to pick up scripts etc, and take them to their homes, or a studio etc. But then there were the drunks leaving "gifts" in the back seat too. Not fun It was the best of worlds and the worst of worlds. The best part was driving a Checker cab, a vehicle designed and manufactured to be a cab, and unlike a regular sedan in several ways.
