I agree. I also found, myself, that conservative Catholics in Germany were my best experiences teaching people, overall. While I didn't baptize any, they were kind and committed, and they were willing to talk much more than the non-committal Lutherans. I was in northern Germany, where almost everyone is nominally Lutheran, but there was a suburb of Oldenburg that was "Erz-Katholisch" (arch-Catholic). By far, the best several months of knocking on doors and talking to people. And all the doors had "K-M-B" chalked on the door frames for Epiphany . . . ;) (they do this in Poland, too --- is this done in the U.S. at all?).
