Yes, I agree we shouldn't have to accept every word spoken by any mortal man. We don't have to be running blind though, since we have the guidance of the Holy Ghost at our disposal. The gift of discernment can be had through that guidance. Technically no. I guess we could use an I phone. But you have to admit writing it on paper is easier on our bodies than writing it on our hearts.
