Maybe we need to look at the world from more than just our own narrow view when deciding if it's better now than then. Just because the civil rights movement was happening doesn't mean it was the best time for everyone. We did not have and have never had separate doors in our city. We took in thousands of Vietnam refugees. My city was compassionate.
