Can Create Topic but not Post To Topic Threads

Since the new changes, I never see a create post box at the bottom of any topic threads.  I shouldn't be able to create a post but then, here it is.

So what do you do to make a post? Just start typing? 

I clicked in a box that said "Reply to the topic" or something like that to make my post before pausing to look at where the cursor was before I began. But I'll try to remember to look next time.

I once had lots of trouble before when using Firefox but most of those problems were not problems anymore when I switched to using Chrome.
