That you can produce good things will fall on deaf ears if the story logically lays out as explained by another and you suggest the story presented was not true, but are unwilling to correct what happened.I don't think I've expressed any surprise at backlash, have I? Odd that so much of what you produce will be centered on the past but when it comes to this the past is off limits.The Maxwell Institute should always be more about its work than about any personnel decisions. Getting into details just turns things into a big mess of they said/he said. I've seen it on a small scale. It would have already ended if there was some effort to resolve the issues.Maybe someday things will get resolved to everyone's satisfaction. In the meantime, the Maxwell Institute continues to put out new work that I invite you to check out. What have you read so far? of course they'd have been dried up for a while if there was some effort to mend fences and clear up what had happened. That's a shame. Surely, at some point, people forget and move on.This could be said about any and all conflict, I guess. I can say feelings have been deeply hurt on both sides. Resolving conflicts like that can take a lot of time. Back to the topic at hand, though, I really am interested in what you've read/heard from the Institute, what you did or didn't like, pertaining to our actual scholarship, though. Of course it is possible to do that but why would you want to?

Acknowledging it was inappropriate and unprofessional to, for instance, notify Dan while he was on vacation, via email, after assuring him otherwise before he left is simply ridiculous. This is not a case of following protocol for professionalism. This is acknowledging a failure in the professionalism you are claiming to want to ascribe to. Seems to be a rather simple thing to me.That's exactly what I'm getting at.All this does is illicit questions that you won't answer.That'd be fine if it weren't so drama-involved.My goodness those traits are most apparent when fiascos are admitted to and mistakes are apologized for. It's like someone claiming humility, while boasting about his/her own strengths. I mean there might be a flickr of truth to it, but it just sounds ridiculous.I wouldn't argue with the direction of the MI. I think many of the things you mention and stand for are awesome. I wouldn't argue the MI is useless, pointless or puts out crappy junk. Those have nothing to do with the points I've raised.You need to bear in mind, stemelbow, that Blair was not at MI when all these events took place. Moreover, Blair is functioning as an apologist for MI (= PR man), and is doing an excellent job of it. In so doing, he must maximize the good that MI does, and minimize any bad that it has done. These are all value judgments anyhow, right? One positive aspect of his work which is of tremendous importance is his systematic scanning and indexing of the entire old FARMS ouevre. Much of it is already online,and more is in preparation. I am very grateful, since the bulk of my work at FARMS is now available at MI's website. 3

After all in this very thread if insisted that Dan and Bill have been dishonest about what took place. How would you know? Ah well....I realize this is just exacerbating the problem now. But I haven't been back and can't really remember what it was I liked. I'd have to re-review and then catch myself up. Not sure why I've stopped, to be honest. A sour taste I suppose. Ah well...I'll come back around.

I've said with regards to the personnel changes that there are different perspectives about what happened. I've also said Bill and Dan have spread misinformation about what the Institute has been doing over the past three years. That is the misinformation I am here to correct and it seems people are either disinterested, or they can see it was in fact incorrect info. It's honestly been a good year or so since I've even opened up the Maxwell site. I know I've read a few things and have found them good.
