Mayan Temple Foundation

Does anyone remember or have a reference to an article (I think it was by Sorenson) that spoke of an ancient Mayan temple site that was excavated and had two different types of stone that made up the foundation for that temple.  These stones types were completely separate almost as if to represent the combining of two cultures?  I have heard it in a talk or podcast I thought but can't recall.  If anyone has any reference to this it would be greatly appreciated.

I googled "light dark skinned mayans" and got a lot of hits on possible evidence of different races among the Maya.  Did not specifically see anything about foundation stones

 

I recall seeing many murals etc indicating this type of thing, but am not into archaeology by any means, so much of it did not "stick"

Thanks guys I am at work and knew it was in Mormon's Codex (but my book is at home) but wanted to find it while here at work.  With a little digging once you all gave me "Santa Rosa"  I was able to pull it off of Brant Gardner's Book of Mormon commentary.  He directly quotes Sorenson on this.
