Tacenda, it's going to completely depend on his teacher(s). No centralized curriculum . . .

 

I don't think it's wise to emphasize that "all we need to enter the CK is baptism, confirmation, and applying the atonement." As Elder Oaks has often taught, we only perform any ordinances with an eye towards exaltation. You're right, though ---- the full scope of the plan of salvation needs to be taught.

 

My kids asked about the possibility of advancing between kingdoms of glory, and we looked at what the scriptures and prophets have taught (it's an open question, with competing views and nothing definite, but it offers many people hope). I really do like the freedom to meet my students' needs and have frank adult discussions.

He probably just wants an excuse not to go back, he's going through a rebellious stage, I guess that fueled it. I almost think he might be a distraction in class, if he displays the anger he showed me after church.
