Pasting

So I am typing with this cast on my arm and wrote a rather lengthy reply in a thread yesterday when near the end, by arm hit some button and I lost the whole thing. So today, I tried to rewrite it on wordpad. But I can't paste it. Has some kind of change been made? Pasting seems to have gotten harder over the last few years. Anyway, I would appreciate any hints on what I might try.

Try copy, transfer, paste. On my computer it is in the "FILE" function.

Thanks tss...I finally got it. But it was kind of like magic. What did I do right? Anyway...I do think I may have tried the "FILE" function. I'll try to remember that.

PS: Continuing tips are welcome. Does anybody else remember it being easier in days past? That is what puzzles me a bit.
