Also, what modern countries would the territory of Moab and Edom be associated with? I assume that Ammon is modern-day Jordan (Aman, Jordan). Thanks in advance!

Not very big even by ancient standards. I would guess a few hundred thousand at most.

Thanks in advance!Moab (east of the dead sea) is in modern Jordan. Edom (south of dead sea) is split between modern Israel and modern Jordan. (source: map found here) Per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographic_history_of_Jerusalem#1st_century_Jerusalem Jerusalem had around 80,000 at the time of Christ's birth.
