thesometimesaint Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 He also said that calling some one a fool was in danger of judgement. To be clear ANY unrepented of sin, sexual or not, will land us in Hell.
Stone holm Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 And yet Christ himself stated that the unrepentant sexually immoral would go to hell. Christ taught us how we ought to be. He also taught us to not be immoral of which penalty is the second death. My contention isn't that violation of the law of chastity isn't a sin, my contention is that we have become obsessed with matters sexual and focus so much time and effort on that to the exclusion of thinking about the fact that the leading cause of bankruptcy in America is our broken health care system, or even discussing when it it is legitimate to let loose rockets, or how you determine what is fair in the treatment of employees, or whether we have gone too far in our employment of competition as a virtue. I am currently reading a book on the coup that was staged in 1953 to overthrow a democratically elected Premier in Iran to ensure continued control of Iranian Oil by the west. They discuss that the U.S. And the Brits allied with some Shiite extremists because they didn't care about implementation of enforced veil wearing the were only interested in the oil. Same type of manipulating hardcore religious people for monetary gain is going on where now? It's the same game, different players using religion to gain economic advantage primarily with sexual issues that the economic elite really don't care about and we play right into their hands by limiting morality to sexual issues. 1
The Nehor Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 You have the absolute right to swing your arm. That right ends at my nose.Which is a preference you like. A masochist might disagree.
thesometimesaint Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 A masochist asked a sadist to hit him, and the sadist said no.
