Widower Bishop?

Date someone who's not in the ward? Wait until your term as bishop is over? Not seek to get remarried at all?

You're right, a bishop dating women in the ward he presides over could be problematic. But there are other options.

I was mostly being facetious. I apologize that I so rarely communicate that kind of thing. I like stirring things up too much. In the Kingdom of God I hope to be the court jester.

don't all Bishops, married, meet with women behind closed doors though? anything can happen to anyone regardless of their marital status

Actually 2 of mine always left the door to the clerks office open slightly and always had someone in there: not listening to the conversation but able to hear anything unusual going on. Both were in the older styly buildings where there was a door between the Bishops office and the clerks office. Edited by mnn727

A true story. One time many years ago at a time when the bishopric was being changed in his ward my grandfather (a widower) one of the members said to him I hear your going to be the new bishop. My grandfather smiled at him and replied Yes I sure am and I have already picked out a couple of relief society sisters for counselors. Needles to say neither happened.
