Mansquatch Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I have not been the most frequent of posters to begin with. I usually just gather information and opinions from everyone here. But over the last several months I have really not been at it, whether just lurking or fully engaging in discussion. The reason for that is because I have been recording an album in my basement so that I may accomplish one of my life goals. I know that there are several musicians and music lovers here, and the first song I will release has a title and topic that are somewhat related to this forum's purpose, so here is a link to that single from the album which I will release on Feb. 21 and 2 non-album b-sides:http://thesquatches.bandcamp.com/album/apologetics-singleIf you like it then spread it. If not, keep your fool mouth shut.
Peppermint Patty Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Mansquatch,I just listened to your songs. I was impressed. Your music sounds kind of like Wilco. Just remember us little people when you hit the big time.
Mansquatch Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 I think your comment may be as "big time" as I ever get. Thank you for the kind words and IMO a flattering comparison.
ERayR Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 While it is not my type of music I do recognize very good talent in what you do.
Mansquatch Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 Thanks ERayR. So what's your flavor? Classical, country, polka? We also do oldies http://thesquatches.bandcamp.com/album/valentines-2012
Mansquatch Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 For any who may be interested or curious to hear the rest http://thesquatches.bandcamp.com/album/ashby . FYI it is peppered with LDS thought and influence throughout and in some cases the pepper is enough to trigger violent sneezing. A pat on the back to the first who identifies the Boyd K. Packer quote on the album (hint: it's in the 12th song)
