Whiskeypete Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) General Conference is normally the first weekend in April, but this next year the first Sunday in April is April 1st.I'm 99.99% sure that General Conference is the first Sunday in April (or October) and the Saturday before it, regardless if the Saturday is in the previous month. But there is that .01% doubt in the back of my head.Unfortunately, the Churchwide calendars aren't available on LDS.org anymore yet, so I can't check there (apparently coming "soon")And I haven't had any luck with Google, except to find that the United Methodist Church has their General Conference April 24-May 4th.So, can anyone here confirm whether the April Conference is March 31-April 1 or April 7-8? Calm Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) Check ldstech message board, they state it is the first, usually is though it was bumped one year.Do a search on "general conference" LDS 2012 and one of the first sites should be the one. They decided upon the date by checking what was done in the past. Plus you can look at the date in oct to see if it corresponds.Finished reading that thread, apparently there was a letter out in aug that gave the 31 and the 1st as the dates. It does seem to be bumped on some leap years, but nit this one unless they change it. Edited September 17, 2011 by calmoriah
Whiskeypete Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 Thanks for the reply - About the only thing official I could find was:https://tech.lds.org/wiki/images/5/58/2012_Satellite_Program_Schedule_-_US_%26_Canada.pdf that did confirm the 31st/1st dates for April Conference
