My dad was.I think it's just come naturally to my husband....who is also of the type who would convert the last part of the second motto to "go buy a new one" (my son would change it to "take it apart"). Thankfully both of them pick up things pretty easily, the only thing is missing out on some of the less obvious frills of gadgets.
