The elections in Mali, West Africa, has an LDS person running for the office of president. His name is Yeah Samake. He is a BYU graduate and convert to the Church. bstone Posted August 16, 2011 Author Posted August 16, 2011 Yeah Samake actually has a pretty good following from the people of Mali. Could be an interesting race, especially where he is a Mormon, running in a 90% Muslim country.
