It's good to know your sources for Biblical knowledge. After all, who needs the Bible by itself? Forget all the Biblical scholars who see polytheism in the Bible, what do they know?

Absurd.

So, when I show you that you are in error about what the Bible teaches you respond with non-Biblical sources?

Well, if that is the best you've got.

I was starting with general views, such as those from Britannica and Polytheism.org., it's really easy to twist the meaning of scripture and I didn't want to get bogged down trying to straighten out each twist since I know already that in your entrenched position it's a largely fruitless endeavor.

As far as Biblical Scholars seeing polytheism in the Bible. I'm sure there's an equal or greater amount that don't.

what isn't in the Bible as well, is the idea that there's more than one God. If there's one thing the Bible can't be accused of, is teaching Polytheism.

What is interesting is hearing arguments that the some Bible scholars somewhere (who were unnamed), think that the Bible teaches polytheism coming from a point of view where the Bible is only correct "as far as it is translated correctly." A group that follows, "what the spirit says..." and if the Bible says something that disagrees with what the "spirit" is teaching to them, the clear Biblical teaching is seen to be false or re-interpreted in a new light, or should I say new revelation.
