Who are "the morning stars" here?

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?

Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know!

Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk,

or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning starssang together,

and all the sons of God( shouted for joy? (Job 38:4-7.)

Well, we know who one of them was...

Revelations 22:16

"...I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."

The morning stars here parallels "sons of God" showing the uniqueness of their character. It has several meanings.

  1. It is a reference to angels as stars
  2. It includes all creations.

There is a second parallel here that is kinda interesting that is found in Ezra 3:10-11 (And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel. And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because [he is] good, for his mercy [endureth] for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid .) Here the temple is conflated with the creation of all.
