The MTC and Missionary Work

Hi all, call this a vanity, promo, or a heads up. Any of them might work. I've been working on a documentary on the Missionary program for the last couple of months. I thought some of you might enjoy it. It's been a pleasure to work on and visit the ol' MTC digs a half dozen times and share some great stories surrounding the work.

It airs at 1pm on Sunday before the afternoon session.

Catch it if you can, or ignore it if you can't handle sitting in front of the TV one more hour on top of Conference. :P

Cheers,

Hey, I think I heard of this one! My friend, who is in the Peru MTC, said that someone came and interviewed him for some documentary. Is this that one, maybe?

Yeah, they typically get regurgitated between the Saturday sessions 6 months later.

We did remote interviews with missionaries in several foreign MTC's via the teleconference training room in Provo, but it probably wasn't us, as we didn't go there.

The internet missionaries have a great job! Kind of reminded me of this board, except they don't waste their time to arguing with the antis. :P

This is awesome, thanks! It's great for those of us that haven't been to the Provo MTC (...yet...?? :P) and are curious about how it all "works".

YW.

When do you go in?

:P I'm actually a recent convert, and am being encouraged to think about serving a mission next year, which I would love to do, but I don't think that I'm at a time in my life where that would be feasible. ;) Still keeping it in mind though, I have a whole year to think about it!

:P;) Lots of options these days depending on your circumstances.

Watching the movie now and it brings back so many memories! My MTC comp. had been a goth up until like 4 days before and so his buddies were in shock, as was I! "You wore what???!"
