Sorry, two sentences does not make a reasonable argument on why yours is the "reasonable interpretation". When Brigham Young starts with North America in his statement and moves south through Central America "to" the place where Nephi was, THAT depicts a belief in Nephites in South America and a Hemispheric Model.

The only thing this shows is that a North American model does not fit with BY's belief. I personally am a Mesoamericanist. But I'm not interested in forcing quotes to fit anything. And that is what's being done here.

I don't see it that way at all. You have to go through parts of Central America to get to other places in Central America. The quote is ambiguous to reasonably allow for both possibilities, so I would hope that you would allow me to assert that my position is as *at least* as rational as yours.

You win. There is no such reference. There is a second hand quote where somebody says that Joseph said such a thing, but there does not appear to be any record of Brigham repeating it.

My friend Bob has wondered if Joseph was simply pulling somebody's leg when he said there were people dressed like Quakers on the moon. He was one for fun.

I agree. Although I can see how it can be understood both ways nevertheless I feel how Brigham Young mentioned Arizona, Old Mexico, Central America and if he meant to include South America I would find it strange he didn't mention it by name.
