Abominable Church?

Luckily there is freedom of speech on the Internet, and Book is welcome to share his view, something that would not be so under Sharia law. If the lack of political correctness offends you, perhaps you should look within yourself to find the reason for such.

"If the lack of political correctness offends you, perhaps you should look within yourself to find the reason for such"......I really don't think that it his lack of political correctness that is so offensive.

If you truly don't understand what is offensive in those remarks, then maybe you should be the one to "look within yourself". Those remarks are anything but christlike, and thus, why would they be uttered by a faithful follower of christ? Who are you really following when those slurs and defamations are used?

All of a sudden you care about people being Christ-like? I thought He was just a "magic-man is the sky". So why should you care?

Did Christ's calling out of the Pharisee's as a "brood of vipers" who's "father is the devil", qualify Him a a candidate for the G&A Church?

Does your personal walk in life mirror that of the Savior's? If so, (and I have my doubts), does Christ's reference to ecclesiastical hypocrisy mirror your disdain for those whose politics you despise?

Your analogy faileth miserably.

And, strangely, your opinion of me is causing me no heartburn or sleeplessness.

Obviously looking at your posts, I appear to care more than you do.

Whether you are christ-like doesn't effect me one bit. In fact, your unchristlike behavior while professing to be a follower of christ is more an amusement to me than anything. The irony of christians using the devils tools to make their points is just funny to me (not that I believe in christ or the devil, but the irony is just too rich)

Oh, I get it... you are trying to shame me into shutting my mouth. Great effort, Walden. Maybe it will work on the next guy.

Please, believe me, I am certainly aware that you know nothing of shame

Two quick points, and then I'm done:

1. It's not strange at all; and

2. It may be too early in the day for the sleeplessness to set in. Let us know tomorrow how you slept. :P

That was funny.

It was, actually, and too true...

Romans 6:16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

If it offended you that I did so, perhaps you should borrow the mirror I provided to LDSGuy 1986 yesterday.

I think I am more offended by being put in the same vein as '86 than I am by anything else...

Whip me, beat me, assign me to outer darkness, but don't lump me in with HIM.

Actually, this quote is more proper in light of the context.....

Proverbs 11:2, "When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom."

Who are you really following when those slurs and defamation are used?

Well it would appear the one man's defamation and slurs are another man's rose.

It would (also) appear that Book's "defamation and slurs" were quite clear, and you felt yourself being targeted, otherwise you might not have yelped quite as loudly.

I acknowledge I am the vilest of sinners. I am ashamed of myself everyday. But who are the only people who can call sinners to repentance? Other sinners. If only perfect people could preach the Gospel, the Gospel wouldn't get preached.
