TAO Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 How else do explain it, if you believe God and his goddess wife both have bodies of flesh and bone? MistyAnn, let me tell you... the way God views procreation is on a compltely different level than the world does. Completely different. Until you understand how he views it, it is a good idea to tread carefully around putting the idea in words which could be misunderstood.Tread carefully, and ask in humility, and the answer will come. It is not something to talk of lightly; or at all even.
David T Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 If Christ can 'raise up seed' to Abraham, and we can become Sons and Daughters of Christ through Baptism, and we become the Sons of Moses and Aaron through honoring the Priesthood, I'm fairly certain Biological Procreation isn't scripturally singled out as the key way exalted beings bring forth progeny, or 'continue the seed'.

BCSpace Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 How else do explain it, if you believe God and his goddess wife both have bodies of flesh and bone?An interesting question. I would start by noting that:There is no such thing as immaterial matter. All spirit is matter, but it is more fine or pure, and can only be discerned by purer eyes;D&C 131:7However, we LDS do still distinguish between the spirit and the body.
