More DVD Fun!

I took a quick break from reading the Jesus Christ/Joseph Smith book by Floyd Mcelveen. I am on page 203. I plan to watch the film later tonight. I have been exposed to enough current pro-Restoration apologetic that I just know my stuff is better. Even my favorite pro-Restoration apologetic has faults, but it's still better than the critic's poorly researched stuff.

Can you still get the book for free, or are they charging for it now?

Not being anywhere near Utah or Arizona and therefore did not get a White Hood, SORRY, White Bag hung on my Door Knob, can someone elucidate the "procedure"?

Did this "christian" Army of Postmen, deliver their "gift of love" in Daylight or in the middle of the Night?

Were they dropped off in an Army Manoeuvre type of exercise at the end of each Street, and surreptitiously skulked up to each Door Knob, with camouflaged clothing and blackened faces, lest their "message of love" led to their Identification?

Why was an alleged show of Love not carried out in a good neighbourly and "christian" manner, with a smile and a simple knock on the Door of those for whom they have expressed such "love"?

Obviously not having seen the DVD and/or Book, I cannot express any opinion on any of it's contents, but were the "messengers of peace" ashamed of the contents of the Message it is alleged to contain?

Just thought I'd post the whole 'wiping dust' verses. You can judge for yourself whether or not it damns someone to hell.

D&C sec 24:

15 And in whatsoever place ye shall enter, and they receive you not in my name, ye shall leave a cursing instead of a blessing, by casting off the dust of your feet against them as a testimony, and cleansing your feet by the wayside.

sec 60:

14 And after thou hast come up unto the land of Zion, and hast proclaimed my word, thou shalt speedily return, proclaiming my word among the congregations of the wicked, not in haste, neither in wrath nor with strife.

15 And shake off the dust of thy feet against those who receive thee not, not in their presence, lest thou provoke them, but in secret; and wash thy feet, as a testimony against them in the day of judgment.

sec 75:

18 Yea, let all those take their journey, as I have commanded them, going from house to house, and from village to village, and from city to city.

19 And in whatsoever house ye enter, and they receive you, leave your blessing upon that house.

20 And in whatsoever house ye enter, and they receive you not, ye shall depart speedily from that house, and shake off the dust of your feet as a testimony against them.

21 And you shall be filled with joy and gladness; and know this, that in the day of judgment you shall be judges of that house, and condemn them;

Matt 10:

12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.

13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Luke 10:

10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

My personal interpretation is that taken with other scriptures, while it is a curse/testimony and may in the end result in hell time, that the "damnation" is being left open and will depend on what other curses/blessings/testimonies for and against that exist for that individual. This one act of judgment or testimony is not understood the final one, IOW.

We have had this DVD hung on Door Knobs!!

Now we have one "hung" on our TV "knobs"!!

PBS airs tonight!!

Not everyone knows all that it contains and everyone on both sides of the Debate await it's airing with "anticipation"!!??

Here is another person who, while not knowing the full content of the Programmes, probably draws a view, not unlike the surreptitious DVD, delivered in the dead of night, and we just might wonder: is it equally "biased"??

Or will it present a more "truthful" picture!!??
