That is very cool!

I'm perplexed, though, as to why she wasn't promoted to the rank of Captain. Maybe the Air Force is different (we Army types used to say they were the Air Scouts), but US Army chaplains start at Captain, not First Lieutenant. Unless something has changed in the Army.

ETA: I checked the USAF Chaplain careers recruiting webpage and it says: "Your rank will be based on education level and experience."
