Yes the word was made flesh and blood. But flesh and blood != Flesh and bone.

1 Jn. 4: 8

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

So is God some big invisible cardio in the sky?

You just don't understand the concept of the trinity.

Don't tell me... an Egg. :P

The late Raymond Brown [Catholic Theologian] who was considered by many in the world to be the Worlds leading scholar/Theologian on the Gospel of John stated regarding John 4:24 -" This is not an essential definition of GOD, but of GOD'S dealing with men; it means that GOD is spirit tward men because he gives the spirit [xivv 16] which begets them anew". There are in fact two other descriptions in Johns writtings : "GOD is light [1 JN 1:5], GOD is Love [1 JN 4:8], thou no one has argued that GOD is a light or a species of Love . In short one miust worship the Father "Through the Spirit" which he has given to the Church [John 14: 16], there no hint of suggestion that he "himself" is a "spirit". See Anchor Bible, John, 172.

Once again, John is quoting one of GOD'S attributes, not his totality of nature, even according to The Late Catholic Theologion Raymond Brown. Your going to have to do better than that please. Grace.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

I'm just having some fun with Zakuska, which is probably uncharitable and most unfair.

It's entirely too difficult to take his posts seriously, so humor is necessary.

ave, How about the reference by Raymond Brown ?, don't run away.

I would agree with it.

Great, we can now progress.

. . . there is nothing wrong with my interpretation of perfection when it comes to God. For perfection as it pertains to the being and person of God refers to his completeness, wholeness, and lack of need . . .

Ahhh . . the because you say so principle . . .

This has nothing to do with perfect understanding of God's perfect nature.

How would one who doesn't have a perfect understanding of God's perfect nature know whether perfection requires something to exist or not? Do you seek truth regardless of the answer to the question, or not?

One must either decide whether God is perfect in his aseity, or that he is not.  If he is not, then one is ascribing to an idol.

No, one is ascribing to an idol when he insists that God must meet his definition of perfect standards of God in spite of not having a perfect understanding of His nature. Will you or won't you follow Christ who follows the will of the Father? Would it matter if the Father follows another Father, or not?

According to some on this board... Jesus was a eunuch and emasculated himself.

Who said He was a eunuch, or that He emasculated Himself?

Again, Z., you're stretching.

OKay so where do we go now ?, Gender perhaps ?, is Gods Body Male ?.

Last I checked, Jesus Christ was definitely male.

Really ?, thats funny not long ago It was presented to we LDS that Jesus Christ thou having a male body, was not really male in the spirital realm. I want to say that it was shared to us by our Catholic critic Johnny [i may be wrong however ]. When did you last check that he was male ?.
