I share this with you all, my extended family and wish each of you Godspeed. OCEANSIDE You say Maui, I say Oceanside; you hear the name and laugh You say Atlantis, I say Oceanside; this time an “oh Dad” as you roll your eyes Maui’s serene, Atlantis has a cool slide; places are places, things are things They are neither my quest nor my treasure; you are who I love, who I treasure So when you hear me nominate Oceanside for our next vacation and every one after that I hope you will smile and think not of a beach, but of a father’s love for you As we all head off to your chosen vacation spots, know that I’m happy there because you are there And that Oceanside will always be my first choice, because just the name will always remind me of you
