Okrahomer Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 A new exhibit has opened at the LDS Church History Museum called Jorge Cocco Santángelo: Sacred Events from the Life of Christ. It runs through October 1, 2018. Jorge Cocco Santángelo joined the LDS Church in Argentina in 1962. He describes his style as "sacrocubism"--i.e., sacred ideas and events depicted via cubist techniques. My wife and I had the opportunity to see some of these paintings prior to the opening. We were both very impressed. We're looking forward to seeing the entire exhibit. 1
Prof Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 I stopped in yesterday. I liked the display. It is a bit different in style from most of the paintings you find in the Church. Clearly, this artist is very talented! 2
