Jim When I look at all the evidence, circumstantial (Joseph's family members joining other churches and Joseph attending and possibly joining as well), and combine that evidence with the earlier vision narratives not having this language, as well as considering the circumstances under which the 1838 narrative was crafted, that it makes the most sense to me that this was not something Joseph believed in the 1820s. He may have later believed it, but we should remember now memories work and they are fluid and evolve.
