Popular Post Scott Lloyd Posted June 29, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 29, 2017 This thread is being opened strictly to answer a CFR, one that I did not have opportunity to see until after the thread was closed. It was the thread, begun in blatant violation of the no-politics rule, asking who voted for Trump. I'm opening the thread to answer the CFR lest I be regarded as having dodged it. The moderation team may feel free to close this thread summarily after this is posted. The CFR was issued to me from Misere Nobis in response to a post from me in which I mentioned the conspiracy theory that Trump colluded with the Putin regime in Russia to win the U.s. presidential election. Here's a copy-and-paste from the closed thread: 16 hours ago, Scott Lloyd said: by pursuing a witch hunt that does not have a shred of evidence to sustain it. Quote CFR. You know, to really be able to claim that, you'd have to be an investigative journalist on the story, or a member of Robert Mueller's team. Are you either? If not, then you are on the outside of the investigation and do not have access to whether or not there is evidence. I'm not claiming Trump's campaign colluded with Russia. I'm claiming that I don't know because I'm not part of the investigation and I am not privy to information that people like Mueller's team are privy to. And now for my response. As is or ought to be clear to anyone, what I meant was that there is not a shred of evidence that has yet come to light. This is in spite of the fact that the witch hunt has been going on with a steady drumbeat from brazenly partial news media and partisan politicians since Trump assumed office. That said, yes, there is an investigation going on, and time will tell. But I'm fairly certain this in the end will suffer the fate of all outlandish and unfounded conspiracy theories. What I state here about no evidence having surfaced does not need a reference; it is only too obvious. But if you really want one, I will cite you as a reference, because you have admitted here that you're not aware of any evidence. If you were you surely would have presented it by now. And to all, I would say this: You don't have to be a Trump supporter, you don't even have to like or respect him, to recognize the rank injustice of pursuing a witch hunt based on an outlandish conspiracy theory that only appears more absurd with each passing day. Quote That undercover CNN video isn't going to work as a response to my CFR, because a CNN producer doesn't speak for all of the other media outlets that are reporting, nor does he speak for the FBI, nor does he speak for the special prosecutor. The producer, who was speaking with complete candor because he didn't know his comments were being recorded, amounts to damning evidence from an insider that CNN is carrying this thing on for the sake of its own ratings (and at the expense of the citizens of the country who need their government to focus on more productive and worthwhile pursuits than chasing down a witch hunt). You may make of it what you will; I find it very significant. 5
