When can men who didn't serve a mission or getting married get endowed?

I was unmarried and did not serve a mission when I was endowed. Looking back from an LDS perspective, I doubt I was ready. Do I regret my decision? Not one bit. Though no longer a member, the endowment still influences my theology to an extent and I am grateful.
