VideoGameJunkie Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 When someone dies, they are dressed in temple clothes if they've been endowed in the casket. Non Mormons and non endowed people can see this when they go to pay respects, so why then do we go through the sacredness and secretness of the temple robes and clothes if we just show them off with the person in the casket? I remember going to my grandma's funeral when I was a kid and going "what the heck is she wearing?"

I was just thinking about how non members can see them.

Or at least reserved to only people who will be respectful of what they represent. my companion has seen my entire temple wardrobe, is possibly more careful of my garments than I am, but is as non-believing as can be. i believe at least here, that not every piece of temple clothing is on display at the viewing. They are added or rearranged as the casket is closed.
