KevinG Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 He was an Apostle for almost 60 years, and Prophet for about a year and a half. I'm not sure his lack of addressing a specific issue while Prophet is any indication of a change of opinion. I have found that as I age and grow wiser I am more likely to listen to the prompting to "shut up". Or is it that shutting up makes me appear wiser? Either way it works wonders.
stemelbow Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 It seems to me jeans, or genes, are the biggest factor in longevity, these days. many non-workout-aholics live long lives. many who exercise a ton die early. I'm thinking if ya got the good genes it helps to work out regularly. Some years ago my grandma died--at the ripe old age of 100. She was the youngest of 11 and 7 of her siblings made it to 98. She was the granddaughter of Charles W. Penrose, but drank, smoked and loved coffee her whole life. From the moment of her 90th b-day to the day she died she wanted to be gone. it was a tough world those ten years. She was proud she made it so long, but she also suffered in misery. Living the longest doesn't seem so fun to me.
