Calm Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 (edited) I can't remember anyone I trusted that way save for my parents and I was doubting them for what was best for me by the time I was a teen save for economic decisions and I probably would have been better off financially if I had gone for the career choice I had wanted instead of going for the guaranteed job of engineering.But then I would have never met my husband after dumping that major (no passion for the techie stuff, just the math and science that my dad had told me there were no jobs in...man, was he wrong given my gender) and going for psych.As far as prophets, I felt a bond with David O McKay, but have never felt anything beyond respect and admiration for being good, committed people for any other prophet, though I have faith in their calling. I have felt a deep emotional connection with only a few local leaders...it is the Gospel and its ultimate source that I have the connection with---heart, mind and soul.
