Bikeemikey Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Hey all, My iphone app i was using just stopped working and is no longer available for download. Looking for recommendations. Cheers
Bikeemikey Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Anyone... Just looking for iPhone app recommendations. Perhaps the mods could chime in and let us know what works well.
mfbukowski Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Get a kindle $150 bucks and it does everything including ms office thru apps and works great here.
Gohan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 My Nexus 7 works fairly well for it. Be nice if there was a compatible app for this forum, like some that use Tapatalk.
Bikeemikey Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Seriously, no one uses a iPhone or android phone app to monitor this forum?
Brian 2.0 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I was hoping for something as well... I use my iPhone all the time, just going to the website, and the mobile interface that pops up is actually quite good. I just saved the website to my home screen and it works quite well (go to website in safari, log on to MD&D, press the Box with the arrow icon at the bottom of Safari, click "Add to Home Screen"). The only slight annoyance is that every time I click that new icon it opens MD&D in another window in safari. Every once in a while I have to clean house on Safari because I've got a dozen separate MD&D tabs active in it. But it does keep me logged in so I don't have to re log in every time. Other than that annoyance, and the inability to rep point from the iPhone, it's works well. I was hoping this thread would turn up an alternative that's even better, but no such luck.
Bikeemikey Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 What I liked about the app I was using is that when unopened a thread it would automatically take me to the post I last read. When I just use the safari browser it just opens everything to the most recent post, rather than where I have read to on the thread.
Brian 2.0 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Really? When I open a thread it will take me to the point where it was last opened. (I.e. If the last time I opened the thread it was 24 posts long, the next time I open it it will go to post #25)I just tried this with some other threads and it went to the last time I opened it. Scrolling down just showed me the new posts, I was even a couple pages from the most recent post in some. You're logged in (you see the stars next to the posts you've posted in, threads are gray that don't have new content, etc)?
