Learned a couple of things. I am able to clean out alot of garbage (short verbal jabs, ugly verbal abuse) but simply flagging as spam. The comments just disappear! If the comment has any substance in it, I leave it alone. The other thing I do is to make a reply, and then refer them to mormon.org for more details. (NOTE: you can actually refer to mormon.org and it allows it use, does not recognize it as a URL)In some cases I refer to other youtube videos uploaded by bookmormon and ldsfairog, and even to this forum. 1

You get into discussions in the comments thread of youtube videos????? Wow! 'Nuff respect.' That place is a jungle of insanity. You'll need more than just a machete to get through that tangle web of nonsense. 1

I obviously stole the way I approached it from C.S. Lewis's "The Screwtape Letters." The devil made me post it. Here are a few of the real comments from critics I quote in the article: "What is wrong with you people? You sound like the Taliban. Get a life." "You Mormons are being absolutely petty and stupid about this!" "Mormons are bigoted, self absorbed, ignorant and pathetic." "You people are insane." And here are few real ones from Mormons: "If you don't like what Utah is like — LEAVE. If you don't like the LDS church — LEAVE. If you don't like BYU and what its staff is doing - LEAVE." "You are where you need to be right now. OUT OF THE CHURCH." I have to warn you, however, that people at an ex Mormon board really, really hated this article and thought I was quite insensitive. Many people also emailed me to let me know that they thought that C.S. Lewis was a much better writer. I, however, found it a lot of fun to get so many snarky and unkind comments about a story encouraging people to not write snarky and unkind comments. P.S.
