K-2 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Has anyone read or heard of the books Wheat Belly or Grain Brain? I know the Word of Wisdom says that wheat is for man, and I'm wondering if anyone is aware of evidence either for or against the idea that wheat can be harmful?
Scott Lloyd Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Has anyone read or heard of the books Wheat Belly or Grain Brain? I know the Word of Wisdom says that wheat is for man, and I'm wondering if anyone is aware of evidence either for or against the idea that wheat can be harmful? It strikes me as a typical food fad. I'm seeing evidence of the "gluten-free" craze running amok. In one instance with which I am acquainted, a nursery leader was told incorrectly that she was not to bring snacks made of wheat flour to nursery, because someone in a class in the other ward that meets in the same building was gluten intolerant. That's going overboard. 2
thesometimesaint Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Used in excess anything, including wheat, can be harmful. There is a old Chinese saying: Have you had your rice today? What it really means is have you eaten today?
