Johnnie Cake Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) 100's of Thousands of volunteer hours by thousands of Latter-day Saints to change the tide of society have been for naught. Literally millions of donated dollars have been wasted on a failed campaign to change the course of human history in an effort to continue the discrimination against the LGBTQ community and nary a word from MD&M members?I’m curious to know the thoughts of the esteemed members of this community regarding this historic announcement and the lasting implication on the church. In a world where Utah may be the sole bastion of discrimination left in the United States of America…how will this new reality play out on how potential converts view the church? Will the church only be attractive to similar minded people who also support continued marriage between a single man and a single woman or will this be the first step…as was the Civil Rights movement of the ‘60’s… to the day when even the LDS church will allow everyone to marry whomever they fall in love with?
