Wright said the review of Regnerus' article did take five weeks, but attributed that to prompt reviewers and Regnerus' quick turnaround of revisions.
From observing the process when my husband and some friends go through it, the time involved is more about waiting for people to fit it into their schedules and not about taking more time to actually check it out. Some of the sparest reviews he got took the longest to get back.

At the very moment two people of the same sex have a child (by adoption) the parents of that child have been cut off from the family, according to law. Two people of the same sex can't have children, by themselves, so where do you suppose that child came from?

The Mother is the one who gives birth to the child, and if she's married to another woman, the Father is outside of the family, instead of in it as he should be.

On the other hand, the Father is the one who fertilizes the egg of the woman so she can give birth to a child, and if he is married to another man, the Mother is outside of the family instead of in it as she should be.

Maybe those "gay" folks would make a better case for strengthening a family if they were advocating a 3-some in their "families", with 2 of those being the actual parents of the child. As it is now, they're not making a good case at all for strengthening the family of the child and they got their child by taking him or her away from the parents.

Are you seriously anti-adoption? Most people think that if a mother doesn't want her child, or can't very well take care of the child, the child is far better off in another family. And two-parent families (whether same sex or opposite sex) are far better than single-parent families. Moreover, adoptive parents are often far better than many natural parents (particularly young natural parents) because adoptive parents, by definition, really really want the adopted child, and are capable of caring for the child. They are also, on average, older and more mature.
