Help Remembering Something From Here?

I *think* it was on this board somewhere (up in General Discussions) that there was a link where I was introduced to the fact that reality or something was a multi-modal interface and a good essay on that from the guy that "invented" this idea? Anybody willing to repost that if they know what I mean. Having trouble so far finding it on google, although I am still searching.
