He provides absolutely no sources in this article whatsoever (no surprise there, actually), and makes the claim that Joseph Smith, Sr., "was known as a money digger and sought after buried treasure, particularly that of Captain Kidd."This is something I've never heard before, but since he provides no sources, I can't tell if Slick is just making this up or if he just found some random statement on some anti-Mormon website somewhere and used it in his own work (which wouldn't surprise me).Any thoughts on this? Where did this claim come from? A Google search doesn't seem to bring up much, and in fact, CARM is one of the top results.We don't want board war links to that place.
