I am appalled that Mortal Man is continuing this nincompoopery. As has been noted, all of these issues were answered many times, yet he simply repeats his original position ad nauseum. Not worthy of a response.

I checked your blog on these chapters and didn't find a single thing related to these issues. I'm afraid that an eager young reader of your study guide would not readily become aware of the ad nauseum nature of your many answers.

I just took a look at this link. There are some very good responses in this thread of a year ago.

Yes there are, particularly these ones: 3, 8, 18, 32, 33-35, 40, 43, 47-48, 54, 56, 58.

Suffice it to say Mortal Man's questions do not present the problem he makes it out to be, and they fall into the asked-and-answered category.

So where can the answers be found on the FAIR WIKI?

This all fits the anti-Mormon tactical pattern that could be summarized this way: Continually raise criticisms that have already been answered, and never take cognizance of responses that have already been given.

The problem Scott, is that the "answers" run in all directions and are simply not credible. For example, take PaulBoyerFan's original question about Laman and Lemuel’s beliefs, to which David B. waxed eloquent about the "inviolability of Jerusalem”.

To put things in perspective; Laman and Lemuel endured a 15 month siege of their city, ending in surrender, likely due, in part, to threat of starvation. They saw their king “dragged away and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.” They saw their new king submit himself to Nebuchadnezzar, putting the city and its citizenry entirely at his mercy. They witnessed the armies of Nebuchadnessar pour into the city, strip the temple bare, plunder the royal palace and wealthy quarters, and enslave “all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans—a total of ten thousand.” They undoubtedly watched helplessly as the soldiers came for many of their friends and relatives; how they escaped capture is a mystery.

How exactly did these experiences render them and the few remaining paupers incapable of believing that Jerusalem could ever be destroyed? Did they have confidence that they could always surrender fast enough and pay enough gold and people to persuade future invaders to leave the temple structure intact? This is absurd no matter how much poetry David conjures up.

No, she is asking why pose your specific set of questions which is geared towards casting doubt on the historicity of the BoM.

They are straightforward honest questions, no more, no less.

Ask yourself, how would B.H. Roberts respond to them?

To clarify for you though, why do you care what questions people ask in sunday school?

Just trying to boost student participation I suppose. I think that thoughtful questions make for a more fulfilling class experience, don't you?

It's a natural question since it's odd that you would spend time and energy on getting people in a religion you don't believe in to ask questions in a class you won't be a part of,

I attend Gospel Doctrine class nearly every Sunday.

The Roberts quote is excellent and one of my favorites (I used it in the dedication to Roberts in my largest publication). Unfortunately, you don't seem to take Roberts seriously. Where in your remarks have you made any attempt to come to grips with the implications of higher and lower criticism being applied to the Book of Mormon (or to the Bible)?

Where have you cited standard academic journal articles and books by professional biblical scholars and archeologists? Your absurd claims have been dealt with before, and I have yet to see you actually engage the hard evidence pro or con. I think it would be delightful to have a real conversation with you, but think the likelihood of that pretty slim. You are having too much fun playing games.
