Bill “Papa” Lee Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I stumbled across two articles today (one because of a long time poster who I have not seen in a long time here) the second while doing research on his book review. According to Church History the AoF were part of the Wentworth Letter (Written by Joseph Smith), that Wilford Woodruff obtained a copyright of it, to preserve it.I have never heard of the suspect origination of the Articles of Faith, which are now part of ‘canon”. Check it out here:http://fairmormon.org/Articles_of_Faith/Differing_versionsOrson Pratt's 1840 version is especially detailed compared to the Wentworth letter. I certainly wouldn't refer to this as a "suspect origination." The AoF were never posited as revelation, for starters.
