No New Revelation

As for revelations in more recent years: the Journal History index from 1830-1971 seems to indicate that revelations were being recieved at least up to the 60s. Link.

But then you stated even after showing you where a prophet has addressed these issues:

So now you changed it to "revelation" and not "when the prophet has spoken out" which is what you were originally asking for.

With all due respect, that talk did not mention North Korea or China, nor did it call any nation to stop oppressing it's people. Rather, it called on oppressed people to stay oppressed. When a prophet calls a nation to repentance, he does so with the power and authority of God, or in other words, by revelation.

Because of these games, I am kindly bowing out.

Probably a good idea - you were starting to take this thread personally, and that wasn't my intention.

Deborah be right =).

From 3rd Nephi 26:10-11

8 And these things have I written, which are a alesser part of the things which he taught the people; and I have written them to the intent that they may be brought again unto this people, bfrom the Gentiles, according to the words which Jesus hath spoken.

9 And when they shall have received this, which is expedient that they should have first, to try their faith, and if it shall so be that they shall believe these things then shall the agreater things be made manifest unto them.

10 And if it so be that they will not believe these things, then shall the agreater things be bwithheld from them, unto their condemnation.

11 Behold, I was about to write them, all which were engraven upon the plates of Nephi, but the Lord aforbade it, saying: I will btry the faith of my people.

Best Wishes,

To put something differently that I addressed on another thread, I ask these questions.

What was it the people were hoping Noah would say when he kept warning them to repent, before the flood came?

What was it that Lot's wife wanted to hear before they left the city?

How many times throughout the Bible do we see prophets crying repentance and the people not listening?

In other words just because you hear some great warning, say about a flood, doesn't mean you'll heed it. In fact I would submit that if you aren't hearing what the prophets are saying now it wouldn't matter if they told you the big earthquake is going to hit tomorrow. Even if you decided to leave the area it might be too late, and it certainly might be too late to repent.
