Praying To Hm?

Is it a sin for an LDS member to pray to HM?

I would think so as Christ taught us how to pray and to whom.

This is a personal issue of the individual and has nothing to do with God and his ability to hear or respond to prayers. More importantly, this type of action shows a misunderstanding of who God is and how little faith one possesses. It demonstrates that the individual has taken God and put him totally into an anthropomorphic position i.e. Woman creates god to meet their own objectives. Sadly, I would call this error.

I wouldn't, personally, call it error (but, I have different beliefs about this).

I was thinking about how the LDS Church places so much emphasis on the eternal nature of gender..and the differences (not better or worse, but definitely "differences" between the sexes)...and how that might have influenced this woman's decision about praying to a god of her own gender (especially, about things she considered better understood by women).
