The problem with this assertion is that everything we address in this forum is "personal," from "personal" belief, to "personal" experiences, to persona "research," to "personal" perspectives. Since when does a six year, regular poster in this forum not have a right to share public information that clarifies his name against false accusations and misrepresentations that involve a public figure and public research?

The fact that I have participated regularly in this board for six years, have given public apologetic discourses at FAIR, post under my real name as a scholar and professional religious educator, and have had misrepresentations about me carried out in this public forum required clarification, for like everything that appears in this discussion board, the thread was personal. One would think that given the public nature of these events, the forum in which I have posted for six years defending Mormonism would allow the clarification and resolution to be made. Such allowances have on many occasions in our history been afforded Daniel Peterson.

Moreover, given the fact that these issues have been discussed openly in this forum, a healthy allowance for closure was certainly in order. No one can claim I didn't try.
