True, it doesn't state outright that each gender is generally better at this specific role, but that is the implication.

neither of us have the authority to state anything beyond the words presented

The Church doesn't say this is the law of the Creator, but that this is the woman's role by divine design. An important distinction.

good point, one of semantics, but nevertheless a good point. God has set forth something by Divine Design, I see that as God's Law untill such time God changes it.

The Proclamation also says nothing about a lack of courage, determination, or confidence for either gender.

And I never stated it did, and if you had read the OP you find out what I stated about that part. And using Esther and Ruth or even perhaps Eve, or the harlot who helped out Joshua, it would seem labeling females are unfit or lacking in confidence, determination or courage, is a philosophy of man designed to maintain a status quo that a woman was property or that a woman was had no right as a free citizen in a capitalistic society to earn money as she saw fit.

because at least one person could not address the issue unless they knew, who what where and when the statement was made.

regardless, who or when; Just 2 or 3 days ago, Mola Rom seemed to state that he believed women were unfit to be lawyers, Doctors or Dentist, so even if the statement is from 1873, at least one person as of 2011, seemingly agrees with the statement.

also, part of statement is in agreement with the LDS Curch

Where? Did not see it.

I would suggest that Mola was being sarcastic, and/or just yanking your chain, and not actually agreeing with you. However, I do hope Mola comes around to defend himself. I just would find it hard to believe that any LDS person would actually believe that.

I agree and was going to make the same point.

You are correct.
