thesometimesaint
Pa Pa:The White Stone is to be our own Urim and Thummim. Without going too far into Temple content I don't know as we can go into a discussion of the New Name. Link to comment
LeSellers
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.I addressed this on another thread (elsewhere) kind of "tongue in cheek" and the response would not even touch the subject. Has anyone ever addressed the topic of this scripture? Part of the scripture mentions a "New Name"; no Temple content please! One wonders if it has anything to do with the "new name" Benjamin gave his people during his speech at the Temple in Zerhemla. That name was "Christ" (or, at least, that's the English, French, and Italian translations). As to whether it has anything to do with the Endowment, I, personally, think it does. But the two are not mutually exclusive, as reflection on the Endowment might reveal.Lehi Link to comment
